Welcome to our Blog.
I have started this blog so that friends and family can follow our journey of being parents to our 4 children. 3 of which are already with us, but the 4th is currently in my tummy, waiting for it's birthday. We have recently been told that our 4th baby has a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). When we first found this out, there was ony an 85% chance that this diagnosis was correct, but last Thursday, I went for an MRI, and found that this was in fact the case. There is a hole on the left side of our bubba's diaphram, where a bit of the liver is currently popping up through the hole. We don't know much more information at this time, but we are scheduled to have an Amnio and the rest of the results on 7th July. I am really concerned of how we are going to handle all of this, but we have made the decision that if our baby wants to fight, then we are going to back it up 100%, just like we would any of our other children.
Our family consists of Stacey, Troy, Paityn and my husband Craig. Stacey was born 20/10/2005, Troy was born 13/09/2007, and Paityn was born 11/08/2009. Stacey attends full time school, and I am enrolling Troy for Kindy for next year (He can't wait).
Anyway, the short of it is that this blog is going to be about our journey with a baby that has a CDH, and the juggling of being a large family already. I am writing this so that I have an outlet to how I am feeling, and also so others who may be in this situation can follow it, and have an idea what this is like, but also so our family and friends can follow our activites as well.
